The Prettiest Satin Pyjamas That'll Keep You Cool In Summer

27 August 2016

I'm a pyjamas person. Not a birthday or a Christmas goes by when I don't receive pyjamas as a gift, my favourite thing about getting home is immediately rushing upstairs to "change into my comfies" and even when I'm filming YouTube videos with a full face of makeup and a pretty blouse, out of shot I'm almost definitely sporting pyjama bottoms and slippers.

With the winter months all sorted - the thickest, softest button-up flannel pyjamas I can find and a pair of cosy fluffy socks to boot, fyi -  I'm sometimes at a loss when I want to wear pyjamas at this time of year but I know that everything in my drawer is only going to make me feel uncomfortably warm. Being the pyjama lover that I am, however, I've found two gorgeous satin sets that'll see you through summer whilst keeping cool - and feeling infinitely more glam than you do come winter when you're in your oversized dressing gown with the hood up and you've tucked your pyjama bottoms into your socks!

The first pair are these gorgeous ASOS Moss Satin Piped Pyjamas which I've been wearing around the house and to sleep in whenever the weather is overcast as they're long, but the material is extremely lightweight so you feel cosy yet cool at the same time. I have these in silver although the Duck Egg Blue shade would've been my ideal choice - they're half-price at the moment for £20 so snap 'em up! - and they also come in Frosted Lilac, Blush and Pink Stripe, which definitely have a Victoria's Secret vibe going on and are top of my wishlist. These are some of the most comfortable pyjamas I've ever owned, and I love how effortlessly chic they are!

Then we come to the perfect pair of pyjamas when your room has turned into an unbearably hot and humid conservatory, you no longer care about creepy crawlies coming in if you leave the window open and you're frantically hunting in the loft for a desk fan; meet the ASOS Satin Cami & Short Set. Again these come in tons of seriously pretty colours - Blush, Frosted Lilac, Yellow, Pink, Coral, Blue Floral - but I opted for the silver and adore them, especially with the little chiffon inserts down the sides of the cami and the shorts. I can't tell you how brilliant they are for making it feel like you're wearing nothing when you're wearing something, which is a lifesaver on sweltering summer nights!

Excuse me whilst I continue living my life as a pyjama fanatic, immediately heading for the 'Nightwear' section of every website whilst continuously reminding myself that I should be spending money on clothing that I can actually wear outside of the house...

Win A Rose Gold iPhone!

17 August 2016

One of the main things I couldn't live without is my phone. It's the first thing I reach for every morning, the item I check I've got in my handbag before I leave the house and the gadget that's always my by side. Recently I went on holiday to Italy with my boyfriend and our friends (the vlog is here if you'd like to see what we got up to!) and I accidentally left my phone in the car. I won't lie, I felt slightly lost. Although I decided to find the silver lining and realise that it's probably a good thing for me to 'unplug' every so often and stop scrolling for once, I was definitely a bit gutted about not being able to update you guys on Snapchat or take lots of pretty Instagram photos. My phone is my job, my way of staying in touch with friends, my treasure trove of memories... I love it, so when Three contacted me about hosting a giveaway with them it was a total no-brainer. Getting the opportunity to give someone a phone is a huge deal, plus it's the rose gold version which is so pretty!

If you'd like to enter to win a 16GB rose gold iPhone SE with a Three Mobile sim card + credit, please follow the three simple steps below and read the T&Cs. Thank you, good luck!

Two Cute AND Comfortable £20 Pairs Of Tan Sandals

15 August 2016

Finding a comfortable pair of shoes is something that doesn't seem to come naturally to me. The evidence for this lies in the numerous amount of times that I've hobbled in agony from A to B, past caring whether it's socially acceptable to remove your footwear in public and with various painful blisters and cuts that I still have scars from years later.

What I think are sensible shoes with a barely-there heel and no 'tear your ankle to shreds with every step' back in sight still manage to wound my poor tootsies, so it's a happy day in my world when I find shoes that I can freely stroll around in without having to make an emergency Boots stop for more Compeed plasters. It doesn't hurt when they're super pretty and purse-friendly, also...

Enter two pairs of extremely cute sandals that I feel I've thoroughly tried and tested (e.g. stomped around London in during a heatwave on more than ten occasions) and been pleasantly surprised. I didn't have to stuff tissues between any straps, and there's something about tan sandals in summer that I just think looks so fresh and gorgeous.

The first pair are from River Island and are the Tan Block Heel Sandals. I originally bought these in black and wore them so much that I couldn't not snap them up in this stunning burnt orange shade also. Everything from the lace-up front to the gold stud detailing floats my boat and I seriously cannot stress how comfy there - plus, they're currently half price in the sale at £20. If you can't find your size, I've found some really similar pairs from BoohooNew Look, Oasis, Park Lane and Eeight

Another £20 pair of tan heels that I've been loving are the New Look Open Toe Faux Suede Sandals as I've been looking for something like this for such a long time; well-made mule-style slingbacks with a sturdy heel and a peep toe that are perfect for everyday wear, especially when paired with blue ankle-grazer jeans. They're true to size (I went down a size with the River Island pair for the perfect fit) and the simple design is a total winner.

I'm not sure I could be happier with these two purchases if I'm honest. They don't break the bank (or pinch your little toes!) and they're beautiful. Get 'em in your life pronto!
